Tracy Karvinen
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Tracy Karvinen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), and Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CODP-II) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health and substance use field. She’s the founder of Karvinen Counseling Services and currently serves as the Clinical Director, where she provides clinical supervision, oversees daily operations, and supports the growth and development of the team.

Over the years, Tracy has worked in a wide variety of settings—from inpatient and outpatient treatment programs to jails, hospitals, shelters, schools, and community-based services. Her work has included everything from direct client care to national training and research projects.

Although Tracy is not currently seeing clients, she remains deeply involved in the clinical side of the practice, mentoring therapists, shaping services, and making sure clients receive compassionate, high-quality care. She’s passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment—for both clients and clinicians alike.
