Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, educator, and clinical leader with extensive experience in counseling, supervision, and higher education. She currently serves as an Instructor and Practicum Education Director in the Department of Social Work at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she teaches and oversees practicum education for emerging social work professionals.

Jessica began her career at SIUE within Counseling Services, initially serving as a counselor before serving as Director of Counseling Services, providing departmental leadership, clinical supervision, and oversight of counseling operations and staff development. 

Jessica has extensive experience providing individual and group counseling across a variety of settings, including college counseling centers, hospitals, and adolescent residential treatment facilities. Her clinical approach is integrative and collaborative, with an emphasis on client-centered practice, strengths-based perspectives, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to build insight, resilience, and practical coping strategies.

Jessica has particular interest and experience in clients as they navigate life transitions, stress, anxiety, identity development, relationship challenges, and personal growth. She believes that seeking support is a meaningful step toward growth and healing, and values the opportunity to walk alongside clients as they work toward their goals and greater well-being.
