Brooke utilizes both directive and child centered play therapy. She also uses sand tray and ideas from synergetic play therapy to treat children. Brooke specializes in working with children between the ages 3 to 10, who are dealing with a variety of presenting concerns. She works to help children dealing with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety, divorce/separation, grief, self esteem, social skills, anger management and behavior modification.
Brooke will provide a safe environment within the play room, where your child will be given a safe space to "play" through their concerns. It is through their play that your child can learn and practice new skills and more adaptive behaviors where there are emotional or social skills deficits to become more successful and reach their potential.
